Job Details


The Paramedic Teaching Specialist manages the Paramedic Technician and EMT Paramedic programs; develops, organizes and implements continuing education courses and specialized training to fulfill customer needs; and supervises assigned faculty and staff.

The Paramedic teaching Specialist reports to the Associate Dean, EMS/Program Director.



  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred
  • Wisconsin Certified Instructor II or ability to obtain WI Instructor II or equivalent
  • Current NREMT Paramedic Certification
  • Wisconsin Paramedic license or ability to acquire Wisconsin licensure within 6 months
  • American Heart Association BLS/ACLS/PALS Instructor certification required within 6 months
  • PEPP or EPC, GEMS, PHTLS or ITLS, AMLS Instructor certification preferred
  • Ability to obtain driver’s license and insurance coverage in accordance with College policy
