Business Office Team Leader

The Business Officer Team Leader provides leadership for the Business Office team and other departments as necessary. Qualified candidates will collect supporting documentation for billing, pursue third party payer authorizations

and ongoing reauthorizations. This is a leadership role responsible for establishing departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with third party billing and adherence to payer requirements for documentation and authorization; resolves escalated payer issues; and collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure business processes and efficiencies are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Overall responsibility for reimbursement related metrics and goals developed in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Leadership Team. Ensures documentation

required for authorization and reauthorizations are received in a timely manner to pursue reimbursement.

Works with all stakeholders in order to meet business needs. Monitors daily metrics and team productivity; adjust as needed to meet goals and objectives. Effectively supervises staff while providing positive on-going coaching and mentoring guiding their team members to success. Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; detail oriented. Ability to direct and motivate others in a team fostered environment. Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and

draw valid conclusions to prioritize and organize work in a multi-tasked environment.

Minimum of an AA degree with personal intent to complete BS/BA degree; BS/BA degree preferred. Five or more years experience working in Revenue Cycle Management; previous experience working with payers. Two or more years of leadership/management experience supervising others in a hospital/clinical setting required. Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, guidelines, and standards, including a working knowledge of Compliance and HIPAA rules and regulations. Knowledge of Third-Party Payer rules and requirements. Basic understanding

of other revenue cycle functions including coding, billing, and collections. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software; Proficiency in Third-Party billing system; EPIC experience preferred. Apply online at www.ebch.org.
